A DREAM ABOUT FRAGRANT SUMMER (tea of tavolga)
PAINTERS, PLUNGE YOUR BRUSHES!
July. The top of summer. From the coast of meadow river, glittering in gap of bushes, wind brings splendid smell. A bit languorous, sweet and as though especially fragrant. In low grounds, where in spring flood waters stay for a long time, as far as one can see, everything is covered with web of panicular floscules. That’s just the source of this splendid smell. It is tavolga blooming.
Northern nature is in luxuriant blossoming. And I am here, among all this beauty now, with easel and paints! As a real painter! On a paper (I am longing to say canvas) is all the palette of my present feelings, emotions and sensations. I always felt like drawing, but I thought it was a lot of chosen ones, gifted by God people. It is the skill, which one should learn from day to day within many years. From childhood my parents put it into my head, that creative work is first of all hard work, inborn talent plus persistence and constant competition.
At the present moment I am absolutely happy, because my view of creative work has been cardinally changed. I am looking at just created “masterpiece” and I feel good. Watercolor paper, brushes, watercolors, several advices and methods of painting from painter – Katya Vakhina. And then switch off your brains and set your intuition free. That is all secret. Not for appraisal, not for sale, not for somebody’s benefit… But just in order to feel and to live in the right way.
Creative programs – that is the thing that “doctor prescribed” for healthy holidays. All fuss, nervous tension, stress and indispositions step back. Create, receive pleasure and satisfaction from what your hands have done.
I am surrounded by sincere attention and energetic creative people. All together we are making photos, are learning to work up them on computer, are learning to weave gay country strips of carpet, called gently “deryuzhki” on real weaving loom, are making nice felt souvenirs, are trying to knit subtle lace table-napkins, are modeling in clay.
Emotional evening gatherings very often end with drinking tea, made of northern herbs. Local herb-collector Valentina Ivanovna knows many secrets and willingly shares them with us while purring curative brew out.
What a clever girl am I to have chosen such an extraordinary place and not quite usual form of holidays! Days are filled with impressions and nights – with fragrant silence and tranquility. Here you look at everything in quite another way. Here the essence of things and processes is as though exposed and creative work helps to understand you and even to learn something new about yourself.
When you create something by heart and emotions, it becomes unimportant what you clothes do you wear or which auto do you have or whether your district is prestige enough. You are just living HERE and NOW. In this moment you are real.
