The interiors and landscaping of this unique house were made by architect and artist Ekaterina Vakhina. The architect has previous experience in designing tourist objects (hotel facilities in Novaya Ladoga and the reconstructed hotel in the historical building of Senate and Synod (St. Petersburg) are already functioning).
The experienced artist and architect Ekaterina Vakhina, who graduated from academic school of architecture in Saint-Petersburg (Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture n. a. Repin), and undertook an internship in the Prince of Wales Institute of Architecture, now is the head of VIP-alliance studio in Moscow. Her works are diverse, ranging from private to public interiors, moreover, she is a professional in easel graphic works. Her works of authorship decorate the interiors of her projects and also can be found in private collections.

This time her designer’s project has been the eco-resort “Letnyaya Zolotitsa”, which is situated in the unique place of Russian North, in the wild nature, hundreds kilometers away from civilization.
“For the moment it is the most extreme and exclusive project for me, - the architect says, - but there were so many inspirations: grandness of the White Sea, the severe taiga, the unique fauna, the unusual Pomor culture. Working on such a project was extremely interesting, but also difficult (every chair and lamp was delivered by ships and helicopters).
The big warm log house is located in the wild North, on the White Sea coast, in the pine forest. As soon as you go down the porch you can gather berries and mushrooms from under your feet. And boreal forest is around you for hundred kilometers. Isn’t it the fairy tale for a busy modern person, even sophisticated (but only by the beauty of the south, not the north – Russian North!)? It is the first time that such a severe and fabulously beautiful land invites you.
After the fascinating journey (the way from the megapolis to Letnyaya Zolotitsa is already the interesting adventure) you find yourself among the wild nature, but at the same time in the modern hotel complex with cozy rooms, home cuisine, billiard saloon, library and Russian sauna.
Of course, we wanted to show our Russian hospitality, and we were able to avoid the stale devices of “Russian” theme in design, because the unique heritage of local people was used.

The usage of natural materials in the interior design, handiwork of talented masters of Arkhangelsk, who created paintings, embroidery, laces, wickers, woofed carpets, birchbark and woodchip works, unique woodwork, - all these makes the ensemble original.
The interiors of the hotel are also decorated by the series of designer’s prints devoted to the two themes “the Solovetsky monastery” and “the Fauna of the Onega Peninsula”, made by the artist and painter Ekaterina Vakhina.
Our warm house invites you to have a rest in the inimitable place among the wild nature, to have a long walk in the pine forests, to admire sunsets and even gales of the White Sea, to see the Solovetsky islands, cloaked in mysteries, and the stunningly beautiful Kuzova archipelago, to visit the most photogenic animals on the ice – the white-coat seals, to taste the bounties of the local forest and sea an so on and so on and so on…
